What the training covers

Your training is built around the WordPress site you already use and the work you need to do in it. Depending on your website, sessions may include:

• How WordPress is structured and which settings affect the entire site
• Creating and updating pages and posts in Divi, Elementor, Avada, WP Bakery, or another builder your site uses
• SEO basics and blog structure
• Plugin updates, security, and a repeatable way to troubleshoot problems
• WooCommerce, if your organization sells products or accepts payments online

How WordPress training works in the DC area

Many clients choose to train live over Zoom. You work in your own website with your instructor in real time, and each Zoom session is recorded for you to keep. The recordings give you a reference you can return to later when you’re working on the site on your own.

We also travel to Washington, DC for in-person training. Over the years, we have visited the headquarters of many nonprofits in the DC area to train their staff on their own WordPress websites. We can come to your office in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia. A travel fee applies when we come to you and typically reflects the cost of airfare and one overnight stay.
